Privacy Policy
Effective 20 October 2026
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what information Safentity collects when you visit safentity.in, create an account, place an order, ask for a quotation or contact us, and how we use, share, protect and keep it. We handle personal information under applicable Indian law, including data protection and consumer protection rules.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:
- Contact and account details: your name, mobile number and email address. When you sign in with a one-time password (OTP), we process the number or address it is sent to and the data needed to verify it and prevent abuse.
- Order details: billing and delivery addresses, products, quantities, prices and order history, your GSTIN and business name if you give them, payment status and references, and records of deliveries, returns and support.
- Payment information: payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive the transaction reference, status and method so we can reconcile orders and process refunds. We don't collect or store full card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs or banking passwords.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device details, timestamps, security logs and session identifiers.
- Communications: what you send us by email, WhatsApp, phone or other channels.
Please don't send passwords, OTPs or payment credentials through support channels.
3. How we use it
- To create and manage your account and verify that you own it.
- To process orders, payments, invoices, delivery, returns and refunds.
- To answer questions and send quotations.
- To send order confirmations, dispatch updates and support replies.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records.
- To detect fraud, unauthorised access and abuse, and to keep the website secure and working.
- To improve the website.
- To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
- To send promotional messages, where appropriate and permitted.
4. Consent
Where the law requires consent, we ask for it before processing your information for that purpose. You can withdraw consent by contacting us. Withdrawal doesn't affect processing already done, and we may still need some information to complete a transaction or meet a legal obligation.
If you don't provide information needed for an order or for sign-in, we may not be able to provide that service.
5. Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with the service providers that run the website and fulfil your order:
- payment gateways,
- courier and logistics partners,
- hosting, infrastructure and security providers,
- sign-in, OTP, SMS and email providers,
- accounting, invoicing and professional advisers.
We may also disclose information where the law, a legal process or a competent authority requires it, or where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud or protect rights. We don't sell personal information.
6. Payments and external websites
When you pay, the payment provider's own privacy policy and terms apply to what it collects directly. Links to manufacturer, courier or payment websites lead to sites we don't control; read their privacy policies before giving them information.
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technology to keep you signed in, protect your account and make the cart and checkout work. These are essential, and blocking them may stop sign-in or checkout from working. If we add optional analytics or advertising cookies, we will handle them according to the applicable consent requirements.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss. No system is completely secure, so keep your device safe, never share OTPs and tell us at once if you think your account has been misused. If a personal data breach happens, we act as the law requires.
9. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including account management, orders, support, disputes, security and legal, tax or accounting duties. Invoices and transaction records may have to be kept for statutory periods even after an account is closed. When information is no longer needed, we delete or dispose of it securely.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you,
- correct or update it,
- erase it where the law allows,
- stop processing that relies on your consent.
You can also raise a grievance about how we handle your information. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some information can't be deleted straight away when the law requires us to keep it or a transaction or dispute is still open.
11. Children
The website is meant for businesses and adults who can legally buy from us. We don't knowingly collect children's personal information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will deal with it.
12. Processing outside India
Some service providers may process or store information outside India. Where this happens, it is subject to Indian law and any restrictions or safeguards that apply.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, technology, operations or legal obligations change. The new version is published here with a new effective date. Where the law requires it, we give additional notice or ask for consent.
